▹1/2 cup agave, honey or maple syrup (your choice)
▹1/4 teaspoon salt
▹1/4 cup water
▹1 cup peanuts
▹2 tablespoons butter, softened
▹1 teaspoon baking soda
▹3 tsp or 3 teabags Creamy Earl Grey tea
𝗠𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗼𝗱
Prepare a large cookie sheet with grease and set aside.
Steep the Creamy Earl Grey tea in 1/2 cup of boiled water for 15 mins.
Remove tea and use 1/4 cup in the recipe.
In a heavy 2-quart saucepan, bring sugar, corn syrup, salt, and infused tea water to a boil over medium heat.
Stir until sugar is dissolved. Stir in peanuts.
Remove from heat; immediately stir in butter and baking soda; pour at once onto cookie sheet. Set the candy thermometer in place and continue cooking.
Stir frequently until the temperature reaches 300 degrees F (150 degrees C) or until a little mixture dropped into frigidly cold water separates into hard and brittle threads.
With two forks, lift and pull the peanut mixture into a rectangle about 14×12 inches; cool—Snap candy into delicious pieces.
